Political reporter Joshua Miller interviews Governor Charlie Baker over drinks on
Wednesday, July 15 at Suffolk University; Q&A to be live streamed at BostonGlobe.com

Boston, MA  – The Boston Globe will host its inaugural LIVE Political Happy Hour, an event for readers of the Globe’s popular Political Happy Hour newsletter and Beacon Hill insiders, this Wednesday, July 15, at 5:30 pm at Suffolk University Law School. Boston Globe political reporter Joshua Miller will host a lively Q&A discussion over drinks with Governor Charlie Baker. The interview will also be live streamed.

The event marks the first in a series of Boston Globe LIVE Political Happy Hours with top Massachusetts elected officials. The next event will be in September.

“I don’t know if any elected official would call spending time with a reporter a ‘Happy Hour,’ but we’re certainly looking forward to our live interview with Governor Baker,” said Boston Globe editor Brian McGrory. “Josh’s daily newsletter, equal parts entertaining and important, has quickly become a must read. This first event promises to bring all of that to life.”

The Boston Globe has more journalists covering New England politics than any other news organization – from Beacon Hill to City Hall, south to Washington, D.C. and north to New Hampshire.

Readers who cannot attend LIVE Political Happy Hour can watch the live stream at BostonGlobe.com and submit questions on Twitter using the hashtag #PHH.
