Boston, MA – Fenway Sports Management today announced that the Division I college football game between UConn and Boston College in the Fenway Gridiron Series presented by Your Call Football will be played in prime time at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18 at Fenway Park. Tickets for the Fenway Gridiron Series presented by Your Call Football are available now at redsox.com/gridiron.

For fans not in attendance at Fenway Park, the game will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network. This will be the first football game at Fenway Park for the University of Connecticut, while Boston College will take the gridiron at Fenway for the 77th time.

“When we announced this event, we promised a first class experience for our alumni and fans,” said UConn Director of Athletics David Benedict. “To date we have sold a significant share of our ticket allotment and setting a game time will allow everyone to lock in their plans for what will most definitely be a memorable day and night of UConn Football.”

The Fenway Gridiron Series presented by Your Call Football will feature marquee matchups of New England’s premier college football programs. In addition to UConn vs. Boston College, Brown University hosts Dartmouth College on November 10 and the University of Massachusetts will host the University of Maine on November 11. Game times for the other two matchups will be announced at a later date.

“This is going to be an excellent matchup between two of the top college football programs in New England,” said Mark Lev, Managing Director of Fenway Sports Management. “There is nothing like a Saturday night game at Fenway Park, so it will be a special moment for the players, coaches and fans of both schools.”

Fenway Park has a long history of hosting football dating back to its opening in 1912. The ballpark was commonly transformed into the gridiron for high school and college football games throughout the early 20th Century and was home to the Boston Patriots from 1963-68. In November 2015, football returned to Fenway Park for the first time since 1968 when Notre Dame hosted Boston College. 2015 also featured a series of Massachusetts high school football rivalries playing traditional Thanksgiving games at Fenway Park.
