Figure Skating Show Added to Festivities at Capital One Frozen Fenway 2017

“Frozen Fenway Winter Party On Ice” will feature a cast of internationally
recognized figure skating stars 
for two shows on Monday, January 16

Boston, MA  Figure skating will take center stage at Fenway Park with the addition of the “Frozen Fenway Winter Party On Ice” to the growing list of events at Capital One Frozen Fenway 2017. Frozen Fenway Winter Party On Ice will feature an afternoon and evening performance on Monday, January 16 at Fenway Park. Tickets for the figure skating show are available now at redsox.com/frozenfenway.

Produced by Ice Dance International Events, Frozen Fenway Winter Party On Ice will showcase a cast of internationally known competitors and performers, highlighted by two-time United States National Champion Alissa Czisny. The show will feature skaters performing routines to hit songs and include performances by local competitors.

Frozen Fenway Winter Party On Ice is one of the many family-oriented events happening at Capital One Frozen Fenway 2017. A pair of Hockey East doubleheaders featuring eight of the premier college hockey programs in New England are scheduled for January 7 and 14. Additionally, a Women’s and Girls Hockey Day will take place on January 10, featuring a Girls Youth Clinic conducted by Massachusetts Hockey and the Boston Pride and a game between the Harvard University and Boston College Women’s Hockey teams.

Capital One Frozen Fenway 2017 is a two week series of hockey and ice skating events from January 3-16, 2017, that showcase Fenway Sports Management’s commitment to bringing unique, world class events to historic Fenway Park and the residents of Boston. Frozen Fenway 2017 Announces Capital One as the Event’s Title Sponsor and New High School and Collegiate Hockey Games Added to Schedule

Capital One named title sponsor for the two week series of hockey and ice skating events,
which includes a Women’s and Girls Hockey Day featuring a matchup between Harvard and Boston College

Boston, MA – Fenway Sports Management (FSM) today announced additions to the schedule of men’s and women’s hockey games taking place at Fenway Park in January as part of Capital One Frozen Fenway 2017. Five high school and collegiate hockey games have been added to the schedule, joining a pair of Hockey East doubleheaders. Tickets for all 9 games at Capital One Frozen Fenway 2017 are now on sale at redsox.com/frozenfenway.

Capital One Frozen Fenway 2017 is a two week series of hockey and ice skating events from January 4-16, 2017, that showcase Fenway Sports Group’s commitment to bringing unique, world class events to historic Fenway Park and the residents of Boston. Capital One Frozen Fenway 2017 will be played over a stretch of 13 days at Fenway Park and feature some of the top collegiate and high school hockey teams from the greater Northeast region.

Additions to Capital One Frozen Fenway 2017 are highlighted by a Women’s and Girls Hockey Day, featuring a Girls Youth Clinic conducted by Massachusetts Hockey and the Boston Pride and a game between the Harvard University and Boston College Women’s Hockey teams. Net ticket proceeds for the Women’s and Girls Hockey Day will benefit The Denna Laing Fund, which supports the recovery of the Boston Pride player who sustained a significant spinal cord injury in 2015.

Saturday, January 7, 2017: Hockey East Doubleheader

  • Boston College vs. Providence College at 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday, January 10, 2017: Women’s and Girls Hockey Day

  • Nobles & Greenough vs. BB&N at 3:00 p.m.
  • Girls Youth Hockey Clinic at 5:00 p.m.
  • Harvard University vs. Boston College at 8:00 p.m.

Thursday, January 12, 2017: Division III Women’s and Men’s College Hockey Games

  • Connecticut College vs. Bowdoin (NESCAC, women) at 4:00 p.m.
  • UMass Boston vs. Babson (New England Hockey Conference, men) at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, January 14, 2017: Hockey East Doubleheader

Fenway Park’s Two-week Winter Festival to Include Competitive High School

Youth Hockey Games and Free Public Skating for City of Boston Residents

Boston, MA – Fenway Sports Management (FSM) and Hockey East Association announced today that tickets for the two marquee Hockey East men’s college hockey doubleheaders at Frozen Fenway 2017 will go on sale Thursday, September 1 at 12:00 p.m. on redsox.com/frozenfenway. Frozen Fenway 2017 is a two week series of hockey and ice skating events taking place at Fenway Park from January 4-16, 2017, featuring outdoor college and high school hockey games and a free public skating day for City of Boston residents.

The two Hockey East doubleheaders featuring eight of the premier college hockey programs in New England are scheduled to take place on January 7 and 14. The schedule for the four Frozen Fenway games is:

Two Marquee Outdoor Hockey East Doubleheaders Headline Frozen Fenway’s 2017 Return

Fenway Park’s Two-week Winter Festival to Include Competitive High School

Boston, MA  The City of Boston, Hockey East Association, and Fenway Sports Management (FSM), today announced the return of outdoor competitive hockey to Fenway Park, with Frozen Fenway 2017, a two week series of hockey and ice skating events taking place at Fenway Park from January 4-16, 2017. Frozen Fenway will feature two marquee Hockey East men’s college hockey doubleheaders, along with additional college and high school hockey games and a free public skating day for City of Boston residents.

“Outdoor hockey is quickly becoming a staple on Boston’s winter sports calendar and we look forward to joining with Hockey East and the City of Boston to build on that tradition by bringing some of the most accomplished and talented collegiate teams in the country to compete on the ice at Fenway Park,” said Boston Red Sox President Sam Kennedy.

The two Hockey East doubleheaders featuring eight of the premier college hockey programs in New England are scheduled to take place on January 7 and 14.  Game times to be announced at a later date:

Saturday, January 7, 2017:

  • Boston University vs. University of Massachusetts
  • Boston College vs. Providence College

Saturday, January 14, 2017:

  • University of Maine vs. University of Connecticut
  • University of New Hampshire vs. Northeastern University

“Hockey East and our schools could not be more excited to take the ice once again at Fenway Park,” said Hockey East commissioner Joe Bertagna. “Once Frozen 2017 is complete all twelve Hockey East schools will have played an outdoor game at Fenway Park, creating once-in-a-lifetime memories for the players, students, alumni and fans.”
