Santander Invites Eagles Fans to Take Holiday Photos on Field at Lincoln Financial Field

Santander Bank and the Philadelphia Eagles today announced “Santander Holiday Snaps,” a free family-friendly event to kick off the holiday season that will take place Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018 at Lincoln Financial Field.

“Santander Holiday Snaps” allows a select number of lucky fans to capture the spirit of the holiday season from a unique field level vantage point within the stadium. Fans will have the opportunity to have a professional holiday photo taken on the Eagles field. In addition to this priceless photo opportunity, fans can enjoy a festival full of free holiday activities including cookie decorating, holiday story time, locker room tours, movie screening and more, including surprise appearances from Eagles players, Eagles Cheerleaders and SWOOP. Refreshments will be served.

The event will run from 5 to 8 p.m., with select registration times available for the on-field photo opportunities. Space is limited and advance registration is required, and available on a first-come, first-served basis. While the event will take place rain or shine, on-field photo opportunities are weather permitting.

Santander and New England Revolution Extend Sponsorship

Eagles Fan Cory Bachstein Attempted $20,000 Kick as Part of the “Santander Field Goal Challenge”

Philadelphia, PA – Roxborough, Pa. resident Cory Bachstein made his kicking debut on Lincoln Financial Field during halftime at today’s Philadelphia Eagles game, attempting a 30-yard field goal in the “Santander Field Goal Challenge.”

Bachstein was poised to win a $10,000 cash prize and an additional $10,000 donation to Pennsbury High School, the regional school he selected, courtesy of Santander Bank. Bachstein attended Pennsbury High School and played soccer there, honing his kicking skills that helped him win the finalist spot at the competition tryouts in November. Although Bachstein was just shy of the goal posts and missed the grand prize, he was rewarded for his efforts and was presented a $2,500 prize, as well as a $2,500 donation to Pennsbury High School. Bachstein plans to direct the donation towards the school’s athletic programs to benefit student athletes.

“I was born and raised in an Eagles family so getting the chance to stand on the field where the team plays was awesome,” said Bachstein. “I trained hard and gave it my best shot and while I wish the football had gone through the goal posts, it has still been an incredible experience. I can’t thank Santander enough for this amazing opportunity. I’m getting married this coming year so the prize money will go towards our honeymoon.”

To participate in the third annual “Santander Field Goal Challenge,” Eagles fans were invited to enter the Bank’s daily online contest for a chance at one of 40 spots in the Santander Field Goal Challenge Tryouts, which were held at the Eagles’ NovaCare Complex training facility on November 15th. With some pointers from Eagles kicker Caleb Sturgis, Bachstein outkicked the other contestants to advance to today’s final kick. Santander’s Chief Marketing Officer Doug Kalish, Managing Director and Head of Corporate and Commercial Banking Cameron Letters and Regional Executive Director of Corporate and Commercial Banking David Swoyer joined Bachstein on the field to present him two $2,500 checks.

What:
Roxborough, Pa. resident Cory Bachstein will have the chance of a lifetime during halftime at the Philadelphia Eagles December 11 home game as he attempts a 30-yard field goal for the final kick of the “Santander Field Goal Challenge.” Bachstein will take to the field and make his kick before nearly 70,000 football fans at Lincoln Financial Field, the Eagles Drum Line and Cheerleaders.

A successful conversion will net Bachstein a $10,000 cash prize and a $10,000 school donation, both courtesy of Santander Bank, the Official Bank of the Philadelphia Eagles. Bachstein has selected Pennsbury High School as the recipient of the donation should he win. He played for the school’s soccer team while in attendance, which he credits with his success in the competition thus far. If Bachstein does not convert his attempt, Santander will award him a $2,500 consolation prize, as well as a $2,500 donation to Pennsbury High School.

Following the kick, there will be an on-field prize presentation ceremony with Bachstein and Santander’s Chief Marketing Officer Doug Kalish, Santander’s Managing Director and Head of Corporate and Commercial Banking Cameron Letters and Santander’s Regional Executive Director of Corporate and Commercial Banking David Swoyer.

Bachstein successfully completed a 35-yard field goal during the Santander Field Goal Challenge Tryouts at the Fieldhouse at NovaCare Complex last month, where he received pointers from Eagles kicker Caleb Sturgis.
