Santander and New England Revolution Extend Sponsorship

As the Official Bank of the New England Revolution, Santander will continue
to support the team’s initiatives and connect with its passionate fan base

Boston, MA Santander Bank and Major League Soccer’s (MLS) New England Revolution today announced an extension to their multi-year sponsorship, ensuring that Santander will continue to serve as the Official Bank of the MLS club.

The Bank’s sponsorship, which began in 2012, is focused on engaging the Revs community through on-site game day programs, on-field advertising, community clinics and community and youth programming. During the course of their partnership, the organizations have worked cohesively to expand their reach and engagement in the community and will continue to do so in 2017, building upon hallmark programs and introducing new offerings. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

During the 2017 season, Santander will continue to work with the New England Revolution to create meaningful campaigns and unique events, offering Revs fans once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. One of their leading initiatives is the Santander Soccer Scholars program, which will return in 2017 for its fourth consecutive year. The program allows parents to nominate students for a chance to be recognized for their academic and athletic achievements. Soccer Scholars winners receive a donation towards their educational future and a VIP match day experience for the whole family. Working alongside the Revolution, Santander will continue to show its support for education and to highlight the importance of working hard in the classroom and on the field. Santander and the New England Revolution Join Forces to Host Free Soccer Celebration

Public Event, in Partnership with The Esplanade Association, to Offer Revs Player Meet & Greets,
Autograph Signings, Interactive Games, Skills & Drills Demos, Ticket Giveaways and More

What:
Free Soccer Celebration featuring a New England Revolution Academy soccer clinic, with skills and drill demonstration and instruction from athletes and coaches, hosted by Santander Bank, N.A., in partnership with the New England Revolution and The Esplanade Association.

Charlie Davies and a host of Revolution players will mingle with attendees and showcase a few soccer tips and tricks as Academy coaches clinic drills. Guests will also enjoy opportunities to win prizes, play FIFA on Xbox with the New England Revolution Battalion and partake in interactive inflatable soccer games. The first 20 people to stop by will receive tickets to an upcoming Revs match!

The event will also celebrate the Bank’s Santander Soccer Scholars program, which recognizes the academic achievements of New England youth with a chance to win a VIP match day experience throughout the season. Charlie Davies serves as the champion and official face of the 2015 Santander Soccer Scholars program and will be signing autographs for fans.

Summer soccer celebration with New England Revolution star forward Charlie Davies in recognition of Santander Bank, N.A.’s Santander Soccer Scholars* program. Those who are attending the event, which is open to the public, will have the opportunity to meet and pose for pictures with Charlie Davies. They will also be able to improve their soccer techniques during a skills demo led by Davies, win prizes, enjoy complimentary refreshments, and enter a deserving local student they know to be a Soccer Scholar. The first 20 people in attendance will receive tickets to an upcoming Revs match.

The Santander Soccer Scholars program recognizes the academic achievements of New England students. For a chance to participate in the Santander Soccer Scholars program, parents are invited to submit up to 100 words highlighting their child’s finest academic accomplishments from the 2014-2015 school year at http://www.revolutionsoccer.net/santander-soccer-scholars now through October 1, 2015. Each winner, selected at random, will receive four tickets to a designated home match, one parking pass, and a photo opportunity with Charlie Davies.
