Sustainability Pioneer Speaks About Leadership at the Crossroads of Clean Energy and Innovation

Chicago, Ill. — BNY Mellon Wealth Management, a global investment management and investment services company, continued its 2017 “Game Changers” speaker series on October 12th at the Viceroy hotel in Chicago. The event featured a top innovator in clean energy and technology: Amy Francetic, Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs & New Ventures at Invenergy, North America’s largest privately-held renewable energy company. Francetic discussed her non-traditional journey to becoming a clean energy innovation leader, as well as key learnings she gained from venturing into the new territories of clean energy solutions.

Now in its second year, the “Game Changers” series explores women’s entrepreneurial and leadership successes through conversations with exceptional women who have forged their own paths and have insights to share. The discussion was moderated by Garrett Alton, BNY Mellon Wealth Management managing director, Chicago and Midwest region.

“Amy is a true Game Changer who offered our clients a peek into the fascinating work she’s leading in the growing field of clean energy,” said Alton. “We were glad to recognize the contributions of this outstanding leader and bring her interesting perspective to BNY Mellon Wealth Management clients, prospects and their advisers.”

During the hour-long presentation, Francetic shared insights both from her current role on the forefront of widespread use of clean energy as well her non-traditional journey to become one of the country’s most interesting, and experienced technology entrepreneurs. As Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs & New Ventures, Amy Francetic sits at the crossroads of entrepreneurship and clean energy – working with clients and communities to embrace and maintain clean energy solutions.

“BNY Mellon’s Game Changers is a tremendous platform for women and men alike to inspire and learn from one another. It’s an honor for me to share my story and insights,” said Francetic. “It’s a fascinating time for the clean energy industry, and now more than ever, we’re relying on business innovation and leadership to help us address the urgent problem of climate change.”
