When U.S. Ski & Snowboard began working with Elevate Communications, we collectively set a goal: raise the profile of their athletes as the team gears up for the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing. And just this summer, we landed two major news stories on two different alpine athletes: Alice Merryweather and Mikaela Shiffrin.

As an Olympian and a regular on the World Cup circuit, Alice Merryweather was on top in 2019-20 season, scoring multiple top 10 results and seeing her star status quickly rise. However, when the world shut down due to COVID in 2020, she found herself battling an eating disorder. Elevate secured a spot both in print and online in Women’s Health for Alice to tell her story and speak to her recovery and goals for the upcoming Olympic season.

Two-time Olympic gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin attended the ESPY Awards in July with her Norwegian boyfriend and 2020 World Cup overall champion Aleksander Aamodt-Kilde. Elevate scored her the opportunity to share her getting ready process with PEOPLE magazine—from a pre-event workout to picking out an outfit and hitting the red carpet.
